i realy miss those pillow talk.
i miss lying on the bed under the blanket, chatting till wee hours in the morning.

Summer 2009~!

Hello!

How are you guys? Sorry, I haven't been blogging for a bloody long time! In fact, i just got denied when I was attempting to log into our account. I had forgotten the email add! Oops! haha anyway, I have recovered my memory lost, so all is good now kkkkkk. =P

Just a quick update. It's the summer here. Actually, it's already my third summer in the US. Time flies! This time around, I was given a chance to participate in a biochemistry internship in one of the universities here in Arkansas. I will be spending 10 weeks of going through the whole process! So far, I have already completed 7! Weeee!~ 3 more to go! Well, not that I'm excited to go back to the farm-like place, but I'm looking forward to doing nothing and rot for 2 weeks before school starts. Afterall, it's the hoLS! I need my well-deserved REST! XD

So far, the internship has been going well. The place that I'm in right now is actually pretty interesting. It's a combination of a university, research and medical center! I thought it was kinda large. Well, it's definitely larger than my school! Duh! It's just impossible for anything to be smaller than my school which has only about 700 students! ><" haha very sad! But it's the truth.

So yeah, I was placed under a Polish mentor. My first impression when I saw her face on the net was that she's scary. She looks like the total opposite of a friendly person. I was kinda reluctant to see her, and I thought of bringing a knife to defend myself should she try to bite my head off. Lol ok. Not that bad la, but you get the idea! I was not keen to have her as a mentor. Anyway, the time to meet her eventually came. And boy, I was sO wrong! She's one of the friendliest old lady! (well, i think she is anyway!) So, I learned a lesson that I should have known a million years ago; Don't judge! What I did was not the most mature thing to do larhhh. LOL! Anyway, meeting her was the start of a good summer.

Later on in the week, it's just meeting more people. From lab assistants to new friends to dedicated garbage collectors who came to collect my trash everyday. It was just a whole new environment! Research also started not too long after I came. Mostly, in the beginning I was just reading and observing what my friend, Anna, do in lab. As time passed, i was slowly given a little more responsibility day by day. Right now, i'm officially working in lab under Anna's supervision. I've been making tonnes of mistakes and making myself look stupid! Oh well..at least I realized that the thought that I knew everything when I had that A for chemistry in high school was wishful thinking.

I will be having another presentation this Tues, a final paper, a final presentation and I'll be done! Yay! Can't wait! I hope you guys are doing well in Malaysia! Btw QUIN, congrates!! I know you will have fun in AUS! You can now look at all the ang moh guys you wanted. Hahaha. SHUSH. You bf will kill me if he reads this. And kill you too. LOL! I need to meet you and Sarah a million times before you go off! Take care.

P/s: I dont know what's wrong with the fonts. I've been trying to mend it for the 56th time and I hope it works this time. Blogspot sucks la.

Abuse

Today is a rather emotional day. I got a news from one of the closest person I know that she was abuse. It was to an extent that she had bruises and her tooth was loosen. Abuse on its own makes me mad but what really ticks me off is the person who hurt her was her Bro. I mean what's going on with this friggin society?

I know it is probably idealistic to expect a bro to be the most caring or supportive person, but is a humane bro too much to ask? I mean god damn it. It's not like he is from a barbaric family or anything! He is from an educated and decent family. If there is any trouble at all, can't he talk it over? Why are people given a proper mouth? To eat? hell yeah and for anyone who has any senses at all, they would answer that it is to communicate as well?

Bros of this sort or any abusive human at all should not have the right to be out in the open. If you know you have an abusive nature, then for god sake, lock yourself in the room or better still, go shoot yourself. Seriously, why bring pain to others? Why are you here when you cannot even care for your family?

This may seem harsh, but it is definitely not the best news when you realized your close ones are enduring pain because of the carelessness of another. And if you are reading this, I know you might, I want to let you know that I am disappointed in you, and I am ashamed that I even know you. Although you are older or stronger, what gives you the friggin right to hurt somebody else? You are such a loser to hurt someone of the weaker gender. Go pick someone your own size and gender. L.O.S.E.R
